Hot technique or tip: Use a jewelers tap and die to thread wire into screws. Use them
as prongs to set stones on Faux Bone, polymer clay, bone dry metal clay or other
materials that will hold a screw

Favorite tool: a rubber bench block

instructor. She specializes in finding ways to apply metalsmithing skills to non-metals like
plastics and leather. She is the author of “Spotlight on Wire” (2011) and “Metal Jewelry
in Bloom” (2013) and teaches classes using metal and Faux BoneTM, a PVC material
developed by Crackerdog Design, where she serves as a consulting designer. Her work
has been featured in the magazines Beadstyle, Stringing, Step by Step Wire and
