Learn to make a framed shadow box using dry-to-dry construction techniques in metal clay. In this one day class you’ll build and construct a shadow box using your choice of texture.
You’ll learn proper construction and fitting techniques to make shadow boxes with ease. Plus you’ll have the choice to make it reversible.
We’ll discuss a variety of design options, like how to make a round shadowbox and how to create the illusion of a seamless pattern wrapping around a corner. You’ll also learn how to use a patina to complement your design.
As a bonus you’ll learn how to make flexible clay. Flexible clay allows for unique design opportunities that regular clay does not.
We will provide:
– Tools & Textures (please bring your own tools if you have them)
You will need to purchase:
– 45grms PMC+ (designs can vary and you may use less) Clay can be purchased at the studio
