I created the Memory Interrupted line as a way to try to process the fact that mother had dementia. Exploring the emotion that surrounds dementia is complex and multilayered. Trying to express those emotions was daunting. I cared for my mother for 10 years and if it wasn’t for the help of my dear spouse I probably would not have enough energy or time to create anything at all.
