I’ve been asked if students can make a different frame design for the Evil Eye Rings Class that I’m going to be teaching at BABE! this year. OF COURSE YOU CAN! I welcome it!
One of the best parts about teaching is seeing the different ways students interpret the information that they learn. So feel free to follow the directions and then modify the design to suit your taste! This will be a fun class and I expect there to be lots of creative results!

Description:
In this day long metal clay class you’ll learn how to protect yourself from the evil eye by making a ring of pure silver.

You’ll learn how to work with real silver metal clay, proper ring sizing and dry construction techniques. Plus you’ll learn how to apply colored resin that will glow with an aura of protection.

Don’t care for the eye shape? Try a leaf shape! The frame design of the ring can be modified to your liking giving you endless options.

You’ll leave this class with the confidence to create wonderful metal clay rings of your own design.

Skill level: All Levels

Cost of required kit: (payable to instructor in class) $45

Kit includes:

  • one package of PMC3 16 grams, .999 silver
  • shared use of resins and other consumables

Instructor will provide all of the tool kits needed for use in class and students will have the option of buying those kits at an additional cost.

Supplies to bring:
Students can bring their own additional PMC3. Students maybe bring their own tools and texture sheets. Instructor will have some additional PMC for students to buy.

Bio:
Patrik teaches PMC workshops internationally and is a Senior Instructor for Rio Grande where he teaches PMC certification workshops.

His work has appeared in numerous publications including Art Jewelry, Lapidary Journal, MJSA, and various books such as CeCe Wire’s New Directions in Metal Clay: 25 Creative Jewelry Projects, the 2007 PMC Guild Annual, 500 Pendants and Lockets and more recently in Ornament Magazine.
