Hi everyone,
As promised to my students and others who couldn’t attend the PMC Conference here ya go! Blogging live!!!! here from the 2012 PMC Conference! Well almost live 😉 For the next few days I’ll be blogging live from the conference! My plan is to write a nightly summary of the daily events ( or as time permits ) as seen through my eyes. My perspective, not the whole entire conference, which would be too much for one person, but and much as possible, bits and pieces as I experience it.
Spent the last two days at the Pre Conference portion of the 2012 PMC Guild Conference in Fort Mitchel, KY. Yup Kentucky! This is the first time a a few years that the conference has not been held at Purdue in Indiana.
I took the red eye from San Francisco airport. The flight left right before midnight and for the most part was an uneventful flight. However, I thought I’d be able to sleep on the plane, I was wrong. The man sitting next to met was crowding the armrest. To make matters worse he kept on bumping into me. So needless to say I didn’t get much sleep at all. The rest of the flight however fine.
The cool part was chasing the sunrise. As we got closer to Cincinnati the sun started to come up and we were literally flying towards to the sun! Although it is hard to see in the photo, the cool part was at one point there were stars in part of the sky and the sun peaking out of the horizon in the other.
Day 1
Found my way to the convention center. Found the usual hard core PMCer’s in the lobby and some new ones as well! We had fun catching up and talking about the latest news. For the last conference I was Mr. Busy Busy, I gave a lecture on creativity and brainstorming, I did demos on PMCPro, I was exhausted. This conference I actually get to enjoy as an attendee! My only commitment is the 1-2-1 mentoring session which will be fun! Sooooo that means I get to actually TAKE a class. So I had to take it the class with Celie Fago. If you are new to the metal clay scene you you’ll have to check out Celie’s work, it is breath taking! She is such a talent artist and a wonderful teacher as well. She is also one my fellow Rio Grande Senior Instructors. If you EVER get a chance to take a class with her at her home studio in Vermont, do it.
We spent the day learning new techniques with PMC Sterling. I’ll post some photos and some highlights later. Here are a few.

Hooray for me! I can not attend myself, but I am delighted to know that you are taking the time to help me experience the part of it through your eyes. You’re the best, Patrick. Thank you! I’ll be reading every day … wow. I’m thrilled.
