For those of you who attended the CraftCast event, thank you so much!
Some of you have asked about the cuff that I featured. The cuff is made of FastFire BronzClay using my current favorite texture tool. The textured rolling pin from Aftosa. Find it at this link www.aftosa.com Also inquiring minds asked about the patina. I used a generous coat of sesame oil and heated the cuff with a torch. It may smoke and sizzle but you’ll get great results. I recommend making a few practice pieces to experiment with. Enjoy!
BUT can recommend a wonderful DVD by Tim McCreight called Patina Basics. It’s a “must have” to start exploring patinas. Click here to buy it from my book store.
Check out the peanut oil patina to get a similar effect as my cuff patina.
This looks to be a brilliant DVD and just what I need but having looked at it on Amazon, it says the format is only for US and Canada… can we have it on the correct format for the UK please??
Hi Louise,
The video is by Tim McCreight you can reach him at http://www.brynmorgen.com/contact.html. He should be able tell you if it is available in other formats.
Good luck!
Thanks, I have sent an email off… where would we be without the internet these days!
