Now on to the next 10 challenges. The Masters Registry www.mastersregistry.com is a fantastic program. One of the many reasons I am participating is to break out my my creative comfort zone. To try out new techniques and ideas that I’ve been meaning to tackle but, for some reason or another, I haven’t had the inclination to actually do. Another even more valuable reason to participate is to get honest feedback from people who I respect. We’ve all had the occasion when we create something and we know it’s “not quite there yet” then show it to a friend who doesn’t do what we do and they think it looks fine. Well that’s great if you are looking for strokes to the ego, but to truly grow as an artist we must be able to accept valuable feedback about our work. Another point of view. Professional maturity demands it. Whether you choose to join the Masters Registry or not, challenge your self today. Stretch out and try something new in your work. You won’t regret it, even if it doesn’t work out, you will learn something.
