Experiments glazing Bisque Beads and adding PMC

Been working on a project for Aftosa. Aftosa is primarily a ceramics supply company. They are now carrying PMC and supplies as part of their product mix. So it was a natural to combine ceramics and PMC in a project sheet. Visit www.aftosa.com. Here are some of the first beads. This was the first time I have ever used ceramic glaze. Oh wait….I made something in 7th grade. Let me see if I can find it!!!! Anyhow, figuring out the cone system in relationship to the firing in a PMC kiln was fun to try and figure out. Through a couple of emails with friends (thanks Penelope & Randi!) and a couple of emails with Mayco the glaze makers, I was able to translate cones to PMC kiln speak.

The images on the right are my first attempts. Kind of fun!
