Getting Ready for KPFA Music and Craft Fair

Feverishly working on getting some new work completed before the KPFA Music and Craft Fair on December 13 and 14. Always a little crazy, but before every show I take stock both literally and figuratively. It’s a time to review my work and my artistic direction. This is especially true during the holiday season because the New Year is right around the corner. It is a chance to reflect on my work during the past year. As for KPFA, this is my first time exhibiting at this venue. Last year I exhibited at The Crucible Holiday Show. While it was a popular event, it wasn’t the right venue for my jewelry. The KPFA Fair is not only heavily juried, but it is also a much more established event that draws 10,000+  people. I’m hoping that the added benefit of being sponsored by a radio station means lots of radio commercials! In this economy, we all need as much advertising as we can get. Plus, from what I understand, it draws a more sophisticated buyer who understands and appreciates a well crafted item. Also, there is a great line up of musicians to listen to.
