Silver Clay Supplies And Jewellery Making Courses, Scotland

Welcome to Bluebell Design Studio. Situated in Fife, just 20 minutes outside of Edinburgh and 10 minutes from the M90, making it ideal for those travelling from Glasgow, Stirling, Aberdeen and other locations throughout Scotland, we offer silver clay supplies and silver clay jewellery making courses here at at our studio.

In fact here at Bluebell Design Studio, we are all about silver metal clay; in particular Mitsubishi’s Precious Metal Clay (PMC for short). We use it, sell it, create with it and teach with it and we LOVE it.
My name is EmEmma Gordon, Silver Clay Tutor Artist, Scotland. Buy silver clay and attend jewellery making classesma Gordon and I am a highly experienced and qualified instructor in silver clay. I have been teaching jewellery making courses with Precious Metal Clay for 6 years now and still love showing people the amazing properties of the very special medium that is silver clay.

If you want to design and make your very own silver jewellery and want to use a product that’s flexible, easy to use and gives you great results from the offset, read on.

What is silver clay?

You may have heard or read about silver clay and wondered what it is. PMC silver clay was first developed by Mitsubishi in the 1990s; they came up with a method of binding silver particles in an organic binder which could be moulded, shaped, textured and cut into all sorts of wonderful shapes and items of jewellery. When this silver clay is fired at a high temperature, it becomes the silver metal we know and love.

Since then, other brands such as Art Clay Silver have come onto the market and now silver clay is more popular than ever. With the flexibility and workability of clay and the end result being silver, it’s almost like alchemy! What’s not to love?

Nowadays, there’s a wide choice of PMC silver clay out there and we stock all varieties in our shop. PMC+, PMC3 and Sterling Silver PMC, all have different properties and different advantages depending on the projects you want to use them for. Have a look at our What is PMC document for more information.
